Meet CiCi. She's a troll. She was a lot of fun to create. Like everyone else, I started making dolls from readily available patterns. Many of the dolls on my website at this time are made from the patterns of other doll makers. Eventually, after you've learned some basic lessons and techniques you want something that came from your head alone.

Over a period of time you'll see the proportions of dolls from other artist's patterns to my own patterns diminish, and you'll find mostly original dolls of my patterns, almost exclusively. Oh, there'll be times that I'll do another artist's pattern to meet an approaching deadline, maybe at a customer's request or even to revisit something I've done previously adding a new twist. I may just grab a body, a couple of arms and two legs just to see what I can come up with.

Isn't CiCi adorable? She demanded that I give her lots of color. Even a troll wants to look her very best! She even left her rings off, not wishing to be overdressed. Hey, don't let that pose fool you. CiCi can be deceptive. She's watching everything in the room. Trolls do that. Young trolls don't survive to be old trolls unless they do…
